General Information: This vegetable produces long and curved fruits that appear like snakes hanging on the supports or ground. This subtropical plant grows very fast in warm climates and produces lots of fruits for a long time. It is best to grow this vine plant along the supports for obtaining young straight fuits. Young fruits are harvested and cooked like Luffa. There are several varieties with different fruit skin and length grown in Asia. An interesting plant for home garden and fresh market. Its soft, bland, somewhat mucilaginous flesh is similar to that of the luffa and the calabash. It is most popular in the cuisine of South Asia and Southeast Asia

Snaky: This newly developed hybrid snake gourd has quickly become very popular in Asia because of high quality and high yielding of fruits. The green skin fruits with long white stripe are about 1 1/4" x 10" in size. Flesh of young fruit is very crispy and tasty, excellent for soups and stir fry.

White Glory: This unique snake gourd is a new hybrid developed and introduced recently by a leading seed company in Thailand. White skin fruits are about 1 1/2" x 13" in size. Plants grows vigorously in warm climates, suitable for subtropical weather with high rain. This vine plant is very profilic and first fruit picks can be obtained 45-50 days after sowing.
